About Us

Inspired by a group of friends who held a private party in 2005, unofficially dubbed "GeekAid", the cause then was simply to spoof the plight of computer geeks and the only beneficiaries of the revelry were the attendees. Afterwards, in a rare and unexplained moment of serious reflection, the founding "Geeks" decided to take the GeekAid event to the next level in order to make a true difference for the West Michigan community in 2006.

Today, GeekAid is all about bringing together individuals passionate about technology and understand that we must encourage and foster that passion whenever the opportunity arises.  We also feel strongly that you should have fun doing it.
